The wind indeed! That is always the killer!
Is there an actual road under the ice or is that the road that wont exist after the next storm?
Hi Graham. There is a road there. It’s a gravel road. It’s actually a bone of contention. When the streets were reclassified as roads then cars were required by law to have number plates and owners suddenly had to pay road tax – for roughly ten kilometres of road, total. The roads are the same, still just gravel, no tarmac, but the taxes are new!
The income must colossal! Nearly as much as the cost of collecting the tax!🤪
