It’s Saturday already! I know I won’t have a story ready every Saturday, but I dug this one up (slight pun intended) following a spate of zombie movies.
I watched Zombieland recently, and loved it. Just my humour. Then I watched the sequel and didn’t love that. And then I went old school and watched Night of the Living Dead, and while I didn’t love it, I’m pleased I’ve seen it. If that makes any sense. Hopefully it will, unlike my short story: ZOMBEA.
Actually, I’m being hard on myself. One way or another, I think this story makes a lot of sense, especially given the current global situation. You can read ZOMBEA for free directly on my website via this link.
In other news, the End of the Line Kickstarter project is very close to funding. If you’re interested in good stories for a few dollars to keep you entertained during the zombie apocalypse, you might want to check it out.
Otherwise, grab a coffee, candles, and freeze-dried rations, and spend 5 minutes with ZOMBEA!
Arghhhhave a great weekend, folks!
I’m finding time here and there to go through your older blog posts that I have missed . . and this one, mentioning ZOMBIES, prompted me to comment. I’m not particularly a fan of zombie movies, but occasionally something in a film’s logline or synopsis will trigger my interest, and I’ll check it out. That was the case with Zack Snyder’s “Army of the Dead’, that combines a heist movie with a zombie-overrun Las Vegas! Kind of over-the-top (lke most of Snyder’s films) but a fun ride, if your looking for eye candy without much depth! :o)
Ooh I struggled with Army of the Dead. I really, really wanted to love it as it sound like just my thing, but alas I did not. But then I have yet to get past episode one of The Walking Dead, so I’m not quite sure what kind of zombie fan I am. However, I recently watched George A. Romero’s Night of the Living Dead (1968), and while I can’t say I enjoyed it, at least I saw where all the tropes come from. 🙂 And then, more recently, I watched Resident Evil – the first one – and loved it. So who knows? 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later, however, those I can’t watch again. I want to, but can’t. 😉
