Authentic Arctic Thrillers
We’ll start off with a pretty picture of a transparent lump of blue ice in the bay, just outside Uummannaq harbour.
Followed by pancake ice in the sea as floes are slowly formed in the fjord.
And to finish off, a shot of the cargo ship Pajuttaat in mid-November, one of the last, if not the last cargo ship of the year in Uummannaq.
And the all important cargo offloaded onto the docks.

Ilulissat, again. 😉
… I should have given up on the selfie and focused on the ice!
This is the ice fjord in Ilulissat. It was September, but I was here a few times in the winter, too, and put Luui in an ice cave in this area in The Shaman’s Daughter.
But what about the selfie, you ask?
Well, even if you didn’t, you’re getting it anyway! 😉 And no, I’m not telling you just how many selfies I took. And, sigh, this was the better of the bunch.
