My parents sent us a plastic tree for Christmas in 2011. They sent it in good time – October. But we didn’t see it before January 5, 2012. we lived in Qaanaaq at the time. We’re pretty sure the tree spent Christmas in Copenhagen, or Kangerlussuaq, or even at the American Air Base in Thule. I’m not complaining, honestly. In fact, we’ve been using the same tree every Christmas ever since, and we never take it down before January 6. 🙂
Technically, as the tree arrived on January 5th, we could have decorated it … for one day!
