Landing in Kangerlussuaq in winter was always, always cold. You learn not to sit in the comfy seats by a door – especially not the door smokers use on their way in and out of the terminal building. You choose not to sit at a window seat in the restaurant if you can avoid it. And you think really dark thoughts about passengers who are late to arrive on the plane when you’ve been sitting inside an unheated Dash with an open door.
