I may have used these “signs of spring” a few times in my books, but here’s the proof. You know spring is upon you in Greenland when the bicycles “parked” in September “burst” out of the snowdrifts in May. 🙂 Usually it starts with a handlebar, but this bike was “in full bloom”.
And we’ll finish off with a colour photo taken from one of the few – dare I say “only” – stone churches in Greenland. This one is in Uummannaq. The school is the big red building in the background, directly in front of the mountain. But to the far right you can see the very old sod and turf huts, museum pieces but still used for “stuff” when I was there.
