Okay, sorry, I’m having way, way, too much fun this Saturday! As you know I regularly dip my toe into the prehistoric world every now and again, and I have to say, I love, absolutely love getting out the big books and finding one obscure dinosaur or another to revive (see what I did there?) and write a story. Well, The Dinosaur Stoop is that next story and it’s on patreon right now, but will be released “wide” soon.
Those “big books” are really quite heavy and they throw me right back to when I was eight or nine, maybe even ten, and heading to London on the train with my mum to visit the British Natural History museum. I remember telling my mum the names of all the dinosaurs, just like I’m sure most children of that age can do today. But now, well… now I need the big books and the days of getting my tongue around those big names… Yeah, speaking Greenlandic is easier than speaking dinosaur!
The only problem with having big books is the feeling of needing more big books.
Hmm, as a certain police constable might say.
There’s a thought!
Meanwhile, coming later today on Patreon, it’s a Long November, Chapter 11. Choose any tier, starting at app. $3 + VAT per month.
Oh boy! More dino-drama! And I see I’m going to have to clear space on my bookshelf for “North Bone”, “Phase Two” and “Dark Design”! 2024 looks to start out DINOTASTIC!! 😁
I feel like a “dino pusher” but there’s a chance I’ll put my back out! 🙂
