On October 4, mum and dad arrived in Nuuk! At the time, my stepsister was living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Bit of a difference in temperature, climate, and, not least, precipitation. Of course, it didn’t help that the usual Air Greenland plane from Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq had to be replaced with one from the Caribbean! 😉
The sporty little de Havilland to the left of the photo below is a Dash 8, replacing my beloved Dash 7s. Sad, but sporty.
In 2012, Alex (sister) and I lived at opposite ends of the globe. Our parents often wondered – probably still do – what they did wrong to make us move so far away in two directions. I have tried to explain that they gave us both a serious dose of wanderlust, and a thirst for adventure.
Alex is in Colombia*. I’m in Denmark. We’re still trying to convince them! 😉

*If you’ve read Reviver or the stories connected to it, the Colombian (correct spelling, now corrected) coffee reference should make sense now. 😉
Wonderful post! 😊
(drinking it this very minute!)
I have some filter coffee M&D brought back from Bogota. I haven’t got the strength right yet. It quickly goes from smooth and a little weak to still smooth but slap-in-the-face overwhelming! I’ll get it right by the time I’m finished with the next Reviver novel! 😉
“slap-in-the-face overwhelming”!! Ha! We all need that sometimes! 😁
Especially with my late nights and early mornings!
