One of my favourite bands is Counting Crows for many, many reasons. I hadn’t thought of it before, but they wrote a song called Perfect Blue Buildings and, just for fun, I thought I’d share one with you.
The photo of said building above is a water station where residents can collect water. Not all houses in Greenland have water from the mains supply. Often the water tank is filled once, maybe twice a week, but when running low, people can freely collect water from one of several pumps scattered around the village or settlement. We used the one above as a drinking station for the school run.
Makes perfect sense when you think about it. 🙂
