The west coast of Denmark has fantastic beaches – really wide and really long. The beaches are also dotted with German bunkers from when Denmark was occupied during World War II. The bunkers are sinking, or full of sand which makes exploring them a little like something from an Indiana Jones movie.
However, the really fun stuff is that some of the bunkers have had a makeover.
I don’t know the year it was done, but the bunkers near Blåvand, a particularly touristy area, have been given heads and tails. The graffiti is what it is. The sunset is pure west coast Denmark!
