You didn’t know you were “on holiday with Chris and Jane” but apparently you are. Also, if you hadn’t guessed, canoes and kayaks are a big part of our lives. After yesterday’s brief excursion to Finland, today is the real deal with a few snapshots from the Yukon River, Canada.
I love this area so, so much. Not least as paddling the Yukon transports me back to my teenage years reading Jack London. He wrote about the places we visited on the river. I mean… I was completely hopeless to be around. Jane put up with a lot… I guess she puts up with an awful lot, really. 🙂
However, this particular day was just a day of adventure, as was every day on the river. Perhaps the best thing about paddling on a river is not knowing what you’ll meet around the corner. Travelling by canoe is quiet, and it’s easy to meet wildlife who don’t hear you coming, and then often don’t care when you do.
Normal coverage of Greenland will resume, but hey… it’s summer in Denmark right now, so prepare yourself for summer pics a plenty!
Chris
