Here’s the forewarned extra post! Thanks to the generous support of backers the Glacier Beat Kickstarter Campaign just funded! But there’s still time if you’re curious to check it and pick up some of the funding and stretch rewards, including personal stories with you and Petra or you and Maratse!

All backers of DKK 35 and up will receive the following extra rewards in addition to their chosen reward:

And if we hit the first stretch of DKK 3.000, then all backers at DKK 35 and up will also receive the following:

I daren’t say it, but there are further stretch rewards if we go higher. If we get to DKK 3.500 then the following stretch rewards are released (hmm, seeing a pattern here!):

Okay. I said it. And I’ll also say it seems to be a sneaky way of getting more eyes on the Greenland Full Throttle! series! 😉

Still in double digits (hours) we’re nearing the end of the Glacier Beat Kickstarter Campaign! It’s still undecided, bit of a nail biter, but we’ll see what happens. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peak from the book, introducing Ikaajik!

“Ataata’s rifle,” Ikaajik said. “He never uses it.”
“You’re going to use it,” Maratse said. “There are lots of ptarmigan in the mountains.”
“I’m not a hunter,” Ikaajik said. “My eyes…” He tapped the side of his head. “They’re not that good, you know? Maybe I need glasses.”
“Imaqa,” Maratse said. He shrugged, adding, “But you are lucky. The snow is melting, but the birds are still white. They are slow to change colour. Right now, even with bad eyes, you can see a white bird on a black rock. There are enough bullets for you to miss lots of times. You have food for a week. You’ll call me twice a day – when you get up and before you sleep.” Maratse nodded at the sun. “It doesn’t matter when. You’ll call.”
“And if I don’t?”
“I arrest you,” Maratse said.

Did I mention Maratse was in Glacier Beat? 😉

Maratse Sea Stories!

It’s official, I’ve gone nuts! But if you’d like to go nuts with me, then this is your chance! The occasion? Well, Jaws, by Peter Benchley, turns 49 this year on May 6th. Seeing as Maratse spends so much time at sea, I thought it would be fun to celebrate that with an anthology of sea stories including backers who pledge to get in on the action.

The Glacier Beat Kickstarter campaign needed a boost, so I’ve came up with a fun way of adding more content. Here’s the blurb to go with a campaign update:

I’ve updated the campaign with more stretch rewards and a funding goal, and I have added a time limited reward for backers interested in getting in on the action in a shorter story (eBook) collected in an anthology. Big image to follow, and more details on the main campaign page.

  • There is a limit of 10 stories available in the add-on section of the campaign.
  • Yes, backers can pledge for more than one story.
  • The time-limited offer ends on May 5th at 23:59 PM, European time.

So, what does this mean? Well, simply put, I’ll write you into a sea story with Maratse – about 10 pages – for 50 DKK (about $7 USD).

I know… crazy, huh?

But so much fun!

Rethinking and Resetting!

I said I was going to “go big or go home” with the latest Kickstarter campaign. Well, I think I overreached with my funding goal, and I want to reset. I can’t change the goal during the campaign, so I need to cancel and start again.

The books will still be available, with Glacier Beat coming out in May 2023. I’m going to focus on Glacier Beat and publish Tundra Beat later in the year.

So, it looks like I’m “going home”! 😉

Phew… deep breath and all that!

This is one of those “just go for it” posts, as I have indeed gone for it! Either that, or I’ve lost the plot completely!

I’m about to launch a huge, mega, completely crazy Kickstarter campaign, and I just thought I would post the sneak peek link here.

But, yes, I have indeed lost the plot, but plot is what it’s all about!

Four days left!

I must admit, the different time zones throw me off a little, but I think there are just four(ish) days left of the Reviver Kickstarter Campaign! We’ve passed the first stretch goal and are heading for the second, which means more stories. Not into dinosaurs? This also the campaign to grab all Maratse’s novels for not a lot of money.

I’m having too much fun with the story and the campaign. But if you’re curious what I write when Petra and Co. are on vacation? Well, this is it, and more crazy stuff like it.
