This tiny town is responsible for a whole novel, a handful of short stories, and, when I get my act together, sequels! 🙂 Jane and I spent nine hours waiting to board a ferry in Whittier, Alaska.
It’s a gorgeous place, and full of inspiration. While I reacquainted myself with The Ice Star shortly after boarding the ferry, nine hours gives plenty of time for other thoughts and distractions, not least the killer whales we spotted from the bow of the ferry before departure. Such distractions and the long tunnel to Whittier, inspired me to write End of the Line. It’s another one of my favourites that not a lot of people know about.
Yeah, I love Alaska! 🙂
