Kickstarter

Ten days left!

January 30, 2023 by Christoffer Petersen Leave a Comment

Reviver is on target. There are 10 days left of the Kickstarter campaign. Reviver is a different story for me. Writing different stories in different genres helps keep the Greenland stories fresh.

I say something like that every time, as if I’m making excuses. I suppose I am, but truth be told, writing Reviver has been a blast!

I’m also spicing the campaign up a bit with an extra FREE novella for ALL backers at ALL levels. Anomaly is a spin-off story of roughly 100 pages that takes a deeper dive into the Reviver project. If you are able to share this project then we can bring more stories to more people.

Here’s the link again: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/chrispaton/reviver-1/description

There are already lots of digital goodies to pick up in this campaign, including the entire Maratse Greenland Crime novel collection of 7 eBooks! 😉

Right, or write, I gotta run!

Guest starring…

August 20, 2022 by Christoffer Petersen 2 Comments

I’m busy with short stories at the moment, writing people into action-packed Greenland crime stories. The stories “guest star” a backer who pledged to be in the story through an earlier Kickstarter campaign. The stories (eBooks) are a little over 25 pages long and scheduled to arrive in the backer’s mailbox on Christmas Day 2022. The stories will also be published on Amazon, etc. in 2023.

Putting the stories together includes working with the backer to get character details, plotting and writing (without the backer’s input – no spoilers!), and creating the cover. These stories are action-packed but without gratuitous violence, swearing, or sex.

However, I got a little carried away and outlined one story too many and created the cover to go with it.

It’s hot in Denmark. What can you do?

So… if you’re reading this and can’t resist the idea of taking advanced driving lessons on the ice with Sergeant Duneq, then I am ready to put you into the story and your name on the cover. The eBook will arrive in your mailbox on Christmas Day 2022.

If that sounds like something for you (or a consenting loved one) then feel free to contact me via the contact form on this website.

The price is 300,- DKK which is roughly

  • $40 USD
  • £35 GBP
  • $60 AUD
  • €40 EUR
  • $50 CAD

There is one story available. It has yet to be written… just waiting for you. 😉

Petra’s last hours!

April 30, 2022 by Christoffer Petersen Leave a Comment

That’s a terrible title for a blog post, but it’s true, there are literally only a few hours left of Petra’s Kickstarter campaign. For those readers following in different time zones the campaign might have ended already. It’s been a wild and fun ride, and I’m looking forward to the dust settling, and sorting out all the rewards to send to backers.

Also, I just want to say a huge “thank you!” to all the backers who made this campaign a success. There’s some fun stories on the way that wouldn’t have seen the light if it wasn’t for you! 🙂

Some rewards have yet to be written – I’m looking at you short, personal stories. While some are in the last stages of proofing and publishing. Others will be delivered to inboxes this Christmas, while some are scheduled for early 2023.

Lots to do.

I’ll be right back …

Normal coverage of all things Greenland, books, and stories will resume after the last few hours of Petra’s Kickstarter campaign. 😉

If you’re wondering what it’s all about, and how you can pick up lots of books and stories, then this is the link for you!

Petra’s last week!

April 25, 2022 by Christoffer Petersen Leave a Comment

This is the last week to check out Petra’s Kickstarter! Please share if you can, but don’t forget to have a look and see if there’s anything that makes you think ooh! That sounds fun!

It’s on the Kickstarter campaigns that I offer the chance to get in on the action and be written into a story with Petra, Maratse, or even Luui (although, that’s gone, folks!). If you choose to be a character in one of my Greenland stories, your name goes on the cover. 😉

Curious?

Check it out here.

Just keep kicking!

April 16, 2022 by Christoffer Petersen 2 Comments

I loved Finding Nemo, especially the tiny turtle prepping the fish to exit the Gulf Stream (I think). But when Dory did her just keep swimming, that kind of stuck. So much so, I wrote it on the back of Jane’s paddling vest, so when we paddled tandem in the kayak, with me paddling in the back, I knew what I had to do when the wind picked up and the icebergs calved: just keep paddling!

It’s a bit like Petra’s Kickstarter.

It’s always a gamble, and there are no guarantees, so there’s a chance it won’t fund, and then there’s the crazy stuff that happens towards the end which usually means anything can happen.

Right now we’re in the trough of the wave, swimming – or kicking, in this instance – to keep going.

If you have a chance to share the campaign on social media, that would be much appreciated. You can copy the link here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/chrispaton/constable-petra-piitalaat-jensen

Or maybe just swim by and see what’s going on, and the fun things you can pick up. There’s lots of Greenland reading attached to the campaign – books to pledge for and to get for free as stretch rewards if we get that far.

Just keep kicking…
