Scenes from a Parking Lot could be a film title from an advant-garde art project, but this blurry photo is one of my favourites. I used my extra long selfie arm (hasn’t everyone got one of those?) to take this photo in a sudden hey, we haven’t got a photo of Anchorage yet moment. We had just arrived from Denali – by train, an experience in itself – and in that parking lot I realised a dream.
No, nothing quirky or illegal, and nothing to do with ticking off all the supermarket parking lots in the world – although … #futurechallenges
No, this was about arriving in Anchorage having dreamed of visiting Anchorage one day ever since I was old enough to know where it was in the world.
So, this silly, blurred photo of Jane and me is one of my favourites as it marks the realisation of a dream, and it was the night of my 43rd birthday. Jane had been ill most of the day, so I was forced … forced I tell you … to see a movie alone. And I forced myself to see the latest Bourne movie. And, if that wasn’t exciting enough, I ate Taco Bell too!
I mean, can you beat that for a birthday celebration? Really? 🙂
I might not be low maintenance but I do have simple tastes.
