There’s Interpol and Europol, and now… Polarpol.
I wanted a “team” novel, if you know what I mean? I wanted to create a series with police specialists and support crew who dip in and out of the main story as and when they are needed. But I also wanted to focus on stories and adventures set in the Arctic.
There are 8 countries with territory in the Arctic, including Norway, Sweden, Finland, Russia, the United States (Alaska), Canada, Iceland, and Denmark.
Yep, Denmark is an Arctic nation, and is one of the largest countries in the world… because of Greenland. Now, readers of my books and visitors to this website will know I have a special place in my heart for Greenland, and I will always promote Greenland first. However, the Danish connection gives plenty of scope for interesting stories, both in my other books and in the Polarpol series.
Each book in the Polarpol series focuses on one particular Arctic country, starting with Iceland and the central character of Hákon Sigurðsson in Northern Light.
There are nine books planned for the initial Polarpol series, books 2 and 3 of which are in development.
Be sure to check back once in a while for Polarpol updates.
