Them pancakes!

I’m always cautious when defining different types or stages of sea ice. I’m no scientist. But I think we could begin to possibly, maybe, think we have found the pancakes! Imaqa.

Sure, we could do with some crusty edges, and the floes and bits of berg that have drifted in complicate matters. But, second photo, we get a little closer. All we need now is lemon juice and sugar. Jane goes full Danish with ice cream, but I’ll stick to the citrus, even though I’m allergic! 😉
