Yep, I’m trawling through the hard drive again. I have ordered everything from 2007 onwards, so I know what photos were taken on which days. 2006? Not so much. Everything is lumped into a folder for the month. So, here’s the first in a string of posts with “random photos from November”. All Uummannaq, Greenland, of course. 🙂
You probably don’t want to think about it, but the ice in the harbour (top photo) reveals the business end of hunting in November.

Does the ice (here obviously thick enough to walk on and perform bloodier operations) ever splinter or crush the hulls of boats left in the harbor? It looks threatening!
I don’t remember ever hearing about that, but in the spring, when the first supply ship of the year was coming, they would blow holes in the ice with dynamite. I’ve probably mentioned that before, but it just shows how strong the ice can be. 🙂
