Quick post to reveal some of the things that distract me from writing. Jane and I played a lot of computer RPGs when we lived in Scotland, lots of board games in Greenland, and card games on camping trips – not the ones with numbers… thanks to a bloody awful maths teacher in high school, I don’t do numbers. (He was “old school”, meaning you got a clip round the ear when you got a sum wrong. Hmm… chew on that if you will.)
Anyway, digressing and venting and all that…
Jane changes when she plays games, revealing an aggressive streak. Which means she wins. Although, there was that one time when I won the game of travel Settlers. Of course, it has nothing to do with us being on a Swedish ferry in heavy seas. Nothing at all. I still don’t understand why Jane didn’t reach the points she needed. It seemed what she needed was a bucket!
More digressing… and crowing, not venting – left all the venting to Jane! 😉
Anyway, if you’re reading this, and it is of any interest, you can follow our games and stats (I’ll be the one losing) on the page: Game Night!
Right, must find Jane and remind her of the time I beat her at Settlers!
Chris
Congratulations on her skill and prowess to the DRAGON DISCIPLE!
Yeah, Jane’s got this! In the RPGs, I’m just the muscle – she points, I shoot, or hack ‘n’ slash. Nothing artistic, but it beats being beat in Settlers!
